Privacy policy
Last updated October 12, 2026
Skelton Publishing LLC (Brian William Skelton and Robin Daneane Skelton) runs skeltonpublishing.com. This page explains what we collect, why, and what you can do about it. The short version: we collect only what you give us to receive emails, we never sell it, and you can unsubscribe or ask us to delete it at any time.
Browsing the site
You can read the whole site without giving us anything. We don't use advertising, analytics or tracking cookies, and we don't set cookies of our own. Like every website, our hosting provider automatically records basic technical details of each visit (such as your IP address, browser type and the page requested) to deliver the site and keep it secure. The site's typefaces are served from our own site, not from an outside font service.
Free samples and our email list
When you ask for a free sample, you give us your email address, your first name if you choose to, and which book's sample you'd like. We use them to send your sample and, now and then, emails about new books and offers. We ask you to confirm your address before anything is sent, and every email has an unsubscribe link.
Our email list is kept and sent by MailerLite, an email service that processes this information for us under its own security and privacy terms. It also records whether our emails are delivered, opened or clicked, so we can tell which ones are useful. We don't share your details with anyone else, and we never sell them.
The sign-up form is for adults (18 or older).
Emailing us
If you write to us, we keep your message and address only to reply and to keep a record of the conversation.
Buying our books
Our books are sold through Etsy, Amazon and Barnes & Noble. When you buy there, the store handles your order and payment under its own privacy policy; we receive only what the store shares with sellers to fulfill the order.
YouTube API Services
We use YouTube API Services to upload and manage videos on our own YouTube channel, Skelton Publishing. We do this with Skelton Publishing Uploader, a small tool that only we use, on our own computer. Google's handling of information is described in the Google Privacy Policy.
What it accesses. Only the Skelton Publishing channel's own account,
through the youtube.upload and youtube.readonly permissions:
the videos we upload, their titles, descriptions and upload status. It collects no
information about viewers or any other YouTube users.
How it is used and shared. Only to publish our own videos. Nothing is sold, and nothing is shared with third parties.
Where it is stored. The sign-in token stays on our own computer and is deleted if we revoke access. We keep our own videos' IDs and publish dates in our records.
Cookies and ads. The tool places no cookies and serves no ads.
Revoking access. Access given to the tool can be revoked at any time on Google's security settings page, security.google.com/settings/security/permissions.
Questions about how we use YouTube API Services go to contact@skeltonpublishing.com.
Children
Many of our books are for children, but this website does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has signed up, write to us and we'll delete the details.
Your choices
Unsubscribe with the link at the bottom of any of our emails. To see, correct or delete the details we hold about you, write to contact@skeltonpublishing.com. We keep email-list details until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete them.
Changes
If we change how we handle your information, we'll update this page and the date at the top.
